Hallo ich wollt mal fragen, wie mein Referat ist, dass ich jetzt hier rein stelle...
Ich werde es bei meiner mündlichen Prüfung benutzen...
MY PRESENTATION
Today I would like to talk about New York, one of the most interesting states in the world. Today New York has about twenty million inhabitants and is the biggest state in the USA and has an area of 141.299 kilometres². The capital of New York is Albany. New York largest city is ”New York City”. New York is in the eastern of the United States of America.
The state New York is divided in 62 Countys. County is in German ”Landkreis”. For example Albany County, Cayuga County, Dutchess County, Erie County, Jefferson County, Kings County, Monroe County, New York County, Queens County, Richmond County.
New York City has a population of 8.008.367 people Buffalo has a population of 282.865, Rochester of a 212.481 and Yonkers 197.126 people.
The famous World Trade centre was built in 1966, but it take seven year until it was finished. It was 527 metre high and has an area of 400.000 m². On 11th of September 2001 a terrible terrorist attack happened there. Two airplanes flew in the twin towers, which collapsed. Lots of people died and were hurt.
On of the famous sights in New York is the Statue of Liberty. It is New York’s landmark. The Statue was given to the United States in 1886 from France as a sign of international friendship. The Statue of Liberty is 46 metre high and stands on a small island, and welcomes immigrants and visitors. The main river of New York is the Hudson river. It is 493 kilometres long.
New York is also called ”The Big Apple”. The Big Apple is a symbol for a city, which is very big and busy.
The climate in New York is always the same. From December to March the weather has 0° C and from June to September 25–30°C.
The age structure of New York looks like this: There live 4.513.489 people to an age of 18. From 18 – 64 years live 12.271.806 people and over 65 years live 2.520.888 people.
I would even go to New York. New York is a very interesting state. Many immigrants like the giant metropolis. I hope I could tell you a lot of about New York. Thanks for listening. Thank you very much.

Ja, ich muss am Montag den Text abgeben...
Und nächste Woche Dienstag muss ich es halten...
Ich hab noch mit PowerPoint eine Darstellung erstellt...

Ich hab beim Überfliegen schon einige Grammatikfehler entdeckt.
Teilweise wechselst du von der Gegenwart ins Past und umgekehrt.
Ob dein Referat inhaltlich korrekt ist kann ich nicht sagen.
Ich kann dir nur raten das nochmal von jemandem der gut Englisch kann korrigieren zu lassen.

Ok, kannst du mir mal bitte zwei oder drei Fehler zeigen, damit ich sie mal verbessern kann...
Ja, ich habs mit meiner Schwester gemacht...
Die hat dieses Jahr ihren Fachabi gemacht...

das sollte texas sein, aber new york ist es sicher nicht ^^

in der mündlichen englishprüfung kommt es eh nur zu einem geringen teil auf die präsentation an..
bereite dich lieber auf des was danach kommt vor..
wenn die prüfer mit dir rede;)

"Rochester of a 212.481..."
Müßte heißen: Rochester has a population of 212.481, genau so beim Rest.
Oder weiter unten bei: "... but it take seven year until it was finished"
Müßte heißen: ... but it takes seven years until it was finished.
Wobei "finished" auch nicht unbedingt das passende Wort ist. Schau mal nach was es noch für Synonyme gibt.
Kennste eine Englisch-Nachhilfe die den Text mit dir nochmal überfliegen kann?

Ich find der Text lässt sich schwer lesen.
Am Anfang zum Beispiel fängst du zwei Sätze hinter einander mit dem Wort "Today" an. Würd ich im Zweiten Satz durch "currently" oder so ersetzen. oder "at the present time" oder Ähnliches.
Versuche nicht so oft "New York" zu schreiben. Umschreib des irgendwie. Bin leider kein English profi oder so aber im Referate halten war ich immer sehr gut, deswegen ist mir des halt aufgefallen.
