If you played Elite™ by Acorn and WingCommander™ by Origin System,
you will have heared about the award winning
3D space game Freelancer™ by Microsoft Game Studios / Digital Anvil.
This game is still on of the most outstanding games,
featuring one of the best graphics of this genre after years
and you will find a very active community,
which stretch and modded this game beyond it's limits.
The latest Version (4.17) of the WTS World CCN features
* a variety of 549 different planes and ships

Give it a chance, find your old Freelancer copy or get a new one for
lower the 10 $ / Euro and get theWTS client mod 4.17
& the Mod manager needed to install mods for Freelancer.
Register yourself at WTS World forum to learn more
(especialy how to connect to the WTS server since the global game server is down)
and join the WTS Teamspeak at IP: 88.134.152.5:8767:8767

Ich finde die Maussteuerung- obwohl sie zweifelsohne gut funktioniert- ist irgendwie ein Atmosphäre Killer.

wenns um die atmosphäre geht, dann musst du ScIFI simulations spielen,
aber mal jetzt nebenbei,
so siehts gerade mit den mods aus,
weil andere Modder, Freelancer Mods runter Raten, damit sie weniger Konkurenz haben, da die FL mods recht gute ratings hatten, bis jetzt ,
I think it's pretty clear now that a few people didn't like to see FL so high in the ratings and decided to down us all out of spite. It's impossible that every single mod has been tried and hated all the sudden by a few people... I'm pretty sure some modders for other games may want less high-ranked competition.
In any case, I read people would be interested in FL-MOTY awards. To be honest, we already thought about it but did not want to create any sort of jealousy between mod developers. We didn't know how people would react if their mod wasn't elected (after all, I think it's fair to say that everyone thinks his or her own mod is the best or by the best and it is perfectly logical to assume so). It's also pretty hard to do such things since for the most part the mods with the largest communities would immediately have an advantage over growing and smaller ones.
However, I'm throwing the question out there: with all this considered, would you still want that? It'd be a pleasure for us to organise such things, but we won't do so if the community here does not want to. We can also do things like "Mod of the Week" or "Mod of the Month" or even a simple "Mod Spotlight" which would probably be better for FL as I think yearly contests are too far between. It'd also help give smaller mods advertising as the mod spotlight could be random.
I'm throwing ideas at you all here; what would you want to see?

In der heutigen Zeit zu leben, bedeutet leider auch oft wenig Zeit zum Kochen zu haben. Dass man dafür aber nicht zu Tütensuppe und Fertiggerichten greifen muss, möchte ich den Lesern auf meinem Blog vermitteln. Zum einen tut man der eigenen Gesundheit etwas Gutes und zum anderen kann wohl kein Convenience Food der Welt geschmacklich mit etwas Selbstgekochtem mithalten.
